UKFCU participated in the 19th annual Sharing Thanksgiving Basket Brigade event hosted by God’s Food Pantry. Hundreds of volunteers came out to box up food for a good cause. Helping set the table for 5,000 families this Thanksgiving.



UKFCU participated in the Reverse-Trick-or-Treat at the UK Children's Hospital. What a joy it was to share the spirit of Trick or Treat with the children and their siblings to get their minds off their illnesses and let them have time to be happy children!



What fun it was to host this wonderful group of students from Tates Creek High! Our 2nd annual tour was a success as these student were introduced to all the operations and opportunities that make a major financial institution tick!

UKFCU employees visited the Lexington Hope Lodge to drop off donations they collected to show support for Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness.




UKFCU was a sponsor of the KY CancerLink’s annual “Links to Hope” Golf Scramble. KY CancerLink is a vital organization to the Lexington community with a mission to help support cancer screenings, diagnosis and the treatment of cancer. 💙




Our team was proud to lend a hand at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass by putting together "Lunches with Love" for families of children receiving medical treatment.


We kicked off the 2022 college football season by giving away 2 tickets to the KY vs. Miami OH game in early September. 🏈


UKFCU donated $2500 in support of Voices of Hope Overdose Awareness Day, held on Saturday, August 20. UKFCU also attended the event to show support and to provide financial resources to help attendees in their journey to recovery.




On August 17, UKFCU hosted a golf scramble and collected donations to benefit God’s Outreach. Attendees donated close to $1000 which will help with the mission of God’s Outreach to provide supplemental and emergency food in Madison and Estill counties. 🏌️‍♀️💙


We offered free gaming, food, and giveaways for students at UK during our "Boot Up Week" Open House event at the UKFCU Esports Lounge. What better way to kick off the Fall Semester?



On August 1st, 2022, we launched a donation campaign in partnership with the Kentucky Red Cross to help raise money to provide much-needed relief to all affected by the devastating flooding in Eastern Kentucky.

UKFCU pledged to make an initial donation of $25,000.00 while matching community and member donations dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000.00 with a goal of donating $75,000.00. We are pleased to announce we exceeded our goal as a result of the outpouring of support from our community and members. In total, UK Federal Credit Union raised over $133,600 to help support the Flood Relief Fund.



We did our part to help Wildcats kick off the fall semester with a great move-in week!


Everyone at our Tates Creek branch got treated to "Mandy and Jimmy's Donut Delivery" from Hits 106.3 on August 12th thanks to our very own Justin Sherwood! Thank you to Justin for thinking of your team and sharing this act of kindness with them.




The American Red Cross works to prevent and alleviate suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers. UKFCU was honored to make a $5,000 donation towards their 26th Annual Disaster Blaster event to support this cause. 💙


In August, we donated back-to-school items and gift cards to local public schools to provide teachers with needed supplies. 👩‍🏫


UKFCU was honored to be a part of the Kentucky Flood Relief Telethon on August 2nd, 2022, as we worked with the Kentucky men's and women's basketball team at Rupp Arena to raise money to help those impacted by the devastating flooding in Eastern Kentucky. In partnership with LEX 18 and the American Red Cross, the telethon raised just under $3,000,000.


On July 29th, in the spirit of System Administrator Appreciation Day, we treated our IT Team to as many fresh donuts as they could eat. We are so thankful for our incredible team of SysAdmin professionals and their dedication to advancing technologies for our members and staff!



UKFCU proudly sponsored T-shirts for Kash Daniel's first annual Youth Football Camp, a great opportunity for kids to come together, receive coaching, and build friendships!



In July, we celebrated our employees by inviting our team to come out to an Employee Appreciation Night at the UKFCU Esports Lounge, where they enjoyed complimentary gaming with one another and had the opportunity experience all that the space offers on campus at the University of Kentucky!


In celebration of National Ice Cream Month, in July, we gave 2 lucky members gift cards to treat themselves to Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream, the perfect treat when cooling off on a hot summer day!


In June, we made a contribution to the EJ Hayes Middle School cheerleading team to offer support in their travel costs. 😄📣


UKFCU made a contribution to support the 7th Annual Tee it Up for the Kids golf outing to benefit the Foster Care Council. The Foster Care Council provides funding for individualized tutoring, mentoring, clothing summer camps and other enrichment activities for Kentucky foster children.


UKFCU employees volunteered their time to assist the LexArts team with their Horse Mania event. Employees handed out refreshments, helped guide parking and gave directions to visitors.


These friendly faces beat the heat by helping raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House to provide food and housing at no cost to those families with a child at Kentucky Children’s Hospital.


UKFCU, along with some former Girl Scouts from our incredible team, presented a $1,500 scholarship to the winner of the "Spirit of Girl Scouting" award!


Team UKFCU participated in the "Mutt Strut", a one-mile, dog-friendly Fun Walk at Keeneland, on June 4th to raise money for the Lexington Humane Society!


In May, we supported the Frederick Douglass High School girls soccer team with a monetary donation to help cover their expenses. ⚽



Hannah Flannery and Roy Wagner from our Investments Team hosted a complimentary seminar at KCTCS, discussing the basics of retirement and focusing on the personalized needs of KCTCS employees.


To show our support for Kentucky Children’s Hospital and all that they do for our children, UKFCU employees were able to wear jeans for a week by making a $10 donation to KCH. 👖


Our IT Department dedicated so much effort toward ensuring our 2021 Annual Meeting was a success, so we picked them up some milkshakes!


Our Export location supported a member from the Republic of Congo who was in desperate need of essential items. The branch, along with UKFCU members, collected items over the week, and those items were sent to his home country to help those in need. 💙




We hosted a giveaway on our Facebook and Instagram accounts near the end of May encouraging our community to share in the spirit of gratitude as we recognize all our heroes who have left us while fighting for our country.


Our $500 donation to the Lexington FOP #4 Shop with a Cop program will help two kids shop alongside local police officers to supply them with items they need for the summer. 🛒


In May, the UKFCU Investments team showed appreciation to our incredible clients by treating them to a Lexington Legends game.


To help support the fight against heart disease and stroke in women, UKFCU sponsored a table at the Go Red for Women, a comprehensive platform serving as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally.


In May, our branch located at the University of Kentucky Student Center came together and voted to support Step by Step as part of our 85 Acts of Kindness pledge. Step by Step offers young mothers’ assistance in becoming the best mother they can be by offering parenting, financial, peer support and life skills in a faith based environment. We raised a total of $325, which went toward the purchase of Kroger gift cards for gas and bus passes.


On May 5th, UKFCU partnered with the Kentucky Blood Center to host a mobile blood donation unit at our Corporate Office and Reynold Road locations. UKFCU had 37 employees make a donation which will impact nearly 60 lives.


To help show our appreciation for all that teachers do, UKFCU dropped off some goodies to local teachers at LTMS in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.


During Keeneland’s Spring Meet, UKFCU awarded one lucky employee with a $1500 scholarship to help with their college tuition.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to Justin Sherwood for going above and beyond for our members at our Tates Creek Branch! Justin demonstrates our core values as a credit union, and he consistently strives for and provides excellent service for UKFCU members.


We loved meeting the kids at Edythe J. Hayes Middle School in April, Financial Literacy Month, to host a hands-on seminar to help them prepare for their financial future through developing financial literacy.


We donated ten gift cards to Keeneland. Keeneland employees will have the opportunity to win these gift cards as Keeneland does their weekly contest drawings during their Spring Meet.


We made a $500 donation to local swim team, Pinnacle Pirates, to help cover their expenses.🏊🏽


We contributed food items and hygiene products toward health kits that were sent home with students at Lexington Traditional Magnet School (LTMS) during their spring break.


We love supporting Girl Scouts of Kentucky! During one of our tastiest acts of kindness, a lucky member picked up a box of girl scout cookies from our Beaumont branch as part of a social media giveaway. Follow us on social media for a chance to catch one of our giveaways and win a prize!


Following our seminar on debt management on March 17th, we surprised two lucky members with a $50 gas card each to express our gratitude for their attendance! ⛽



On March 16th, UKFCU had the honor of presenting the 2022 Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass Miss Business Event. It's a day that is filled with experience, mentorship, and encouragement for young women - a day where they gain knowledge of business foundation, skills, and finance to aid in their success.


Our employees participated in an optional, paid dress-down week March 14-18 to benefit Free2Hope. All donations went directly toward supplies that the KYCUL Emerging Leaders class of 2022 organized to help the women this organization graciously supports.


DanceBlue is a University of Kentucky student-run organization that fundraises year-round and culminates in a 24-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon. The money raised through DanceBlue is donated to the Golden Matrix Fund, established to support the kids of the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic both today and well into the future through an endowment. It was our honor to contribute toward this year's total of $1,430,497 funds raised for the kids!


UKFCU is proud to be a supporting sponsor of the 16th Annual Shamrock Shuffle! The Shamrock Shuffle 3K is locally organized and benefits Lexington Habitat for Humanity. When you shuffle, you help families in need of affordable housing.


Our members had the opportunity to nominate their favorite charity on social media. Three organizations were then randomly selected to receive a $100 donation from UKFCU! Our winners were the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass, Inc., St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Foster Care Council.



UKFCU Member and former University of Kentucky Linebacker, Kash Daniel, visited branch employees to thank them for their continued service to our members and community. 


To celebrate Twosday, we asked our employees to donate 2 canned good items to go to a local food bank. With this kind act, UKFCU was able to help stock pantries and keep our community fed. 🥫



In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Day, we dropped off some healthy snacks to some our branch team members. 🍌


In February, UKFCU partnered with the Lexington Police Department to help support the D.A.R.E. Program. We also surprised two essay winners with $100 Visa Gift Cards for their dedication to the program. 


On Valentine's Day, we showed some love to our very own employee, Michele H., from our Export Branch. Michele consistently leads UKFCU in several aspects and shows our members how much she cares every single day. To show our appreciation, we gifted her with a "We love our members so stinkin' much" t-shirt!


On February 4, in honor of National Go Red for Women Day, UKFCU made a donation to the American Heart Association. We also handed out red wrapped dark chocolates at our branches to help spread awareness and offer a fun treat to our members.


In honor of National Hot Chocolate Day on January 31, UKFCU employees delivered hot chocolate mugs to local organizations to spread warmth on a cold, chilly day. 


UKFCU sponsored various athletic teams from local organizations to help aid in their equipment and transportation costs. ⛹️‍♀️


To celebrate 85 years of service to our community and our members, we asked our members to share on social media what they are celebrating this year. Of the participants, one lucky winner was drawn to win a $85 Amazon eGift Card!


To kick off our 85 Acts of Kindness, we presented Step-by-Step with a $2500 donation. These funds will go directly towards their financial literacy program, Step Into Freedom, which helps single moms reach their financial goals.
