On March 27, 2020, The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) was signed into law as a relief measure for small businesses and their employees who have been adversely impacted by the current public health crisis.

A key provision of this legislation is the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), a $350 billion emergency lending program designed to provide small businesses with loans to help cover their operating expenses and maintain their workforce during a temporary period of severe market disruption.

Additional Relief Options for Current Members

piggybank Skip-A-Pay 

Members may skip a payment on qualifying loans. If you've already skipped a payment this year, UKFCU is allowing members to skip an additional payment on eligible loans.

This is a limited time offer available through May 31, 2020.

We are waiving all associated skip-a-pay fees to help provide some relief during this difficult time.

*Members must be in good standing. The $29.00 skip-a-pay fee will be waived for all skipped payments during the months of April and May 2020. First Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit, Cash Advantage Loans, Commercial Loans, Certificate Secured Loans and Note Loans are not eligible. Deferral of the scheduled payment will result in a higher total finance charge and extend the term of the loan. Members may skip no more than two payments on an eligible loan in a rolling calendar year. Offer valid through May 31, 2020.

creditcard Visa Platinum and Signature Credit Cards

Members also have the option to skip a payment on their credit cards during the months of April, May and June if eligible.

When you receive your statement, the payment due will show as $0.00 and no payment is due for the billing period.

You may still choose to make a payment on your credit card. Finance charges will continue to accrue at the normal rate if you opt to skip your payment.

I sincerely hope this communication finds you and your family well. So much has changed in our world during the past few weeks. What I will tell you is that, first and foremost, our concern is for the well-being of our members. UK Federal Credit Union is a strong and financially healthy credit union, with total assets now in excess of $1 Billion. We are continuing to operate normally, with all locations open except for the Student Center Branch on UK's campus. We are following the CDC guidelines, as well as those of our Governor. A large number of our administrative and support staff are working remotely as we adhere to social distancing recommendations.
