How do I activate a gift card?

To activate a gift card, you can go to the prepaid Visa Card section of our website and follow the prompts. Or you can follow this link for direct access

Once you have logged in with your gift card, please follow these steps to ensure activation:

1. Choose "Register Card" from the dropdown menu

2. Hit "Go"

3. Enroll your cardholder information

Who do I call if my card is restricted?

For security purposes the cardholder must contact us to resolve the issue.

My Debit Card is not working; help!

There are several factors as to why you may experience issues with your Debit Card. It is important for you to keep your contact information up to date. If there are suspicious transactions and our Card Services cannot contact you, the card could be restricted. If you have used an incorrect PIN several times your card could get locked out.

Can I use my debit card while traveling internationally?

We strongly encourage our members to travel abroad with a UKFCU Debit Card. This card will be accepted at the ATM, whether it is designed for cash advances or is a regular cash dispensing machine. UKFCU also offers a Travel Re-loadable VISA Card that can be loaded with funds in advance of your trip that works as a Debit Card. Simply stop by one of our convenient branch locations to purchase a Travel Card.

Placing a travel notice on your account(s) will help us differentiate whether you are on the road or if your account has been compromised. You can place a travel notice on your account in online and mobile banking, by visiting us at one of our branches, or by calling us at 859.264.4200.

To place the travel alert through online or mobile banking, select "Card Controls,"  and then select either your debit or credit card. From there, select the "Travel Notification" button and complete the requested information.

How do I order a new debit card?

Call Member Services at 859-264-4200 to have one ordered for you. You can also stop by any branch and they will instantly issue you a replacement.

 

How much does it cost to replace my debit card?

Fees are subject to change. Please see our Truth in Savings disclosure on our Forms Page for current fees. 

What do I do if my personal identification number (PIN) does not work?

There could be several reasons for your PIN not to work, from fraud protection to insufficient funds. For security reasons you must call us at 859-264-4200 or come to a branch location.

How do I activate my debit card?

Enclosed with your new debit card will be a list of directions to help you activate your new debit card. To activate the card, simply call the phone number listed on the sticker.

Another way to activate the card is to use it to conduct a transaction or check your balance at an ATM. Simply use the PIN number provided in the documentation that came with the card. Be sure to change your PIN at an ATM or at a branch location. You should not share this number with anyone else.

If you forgot your PIN you must go to a branch, please bring a photo ID (required for security purposes).

Can I select my own PIN for my debit card?

Yes! In fact, you should choose a PIN that is unique to you. You should not share this number with anyone else.
