Can You Spot the Fake Banking Text?

A Quick Cybersecurity Quiz for Members

Every day, scammers get more sophisticated in how they target consumers—often using text messages that look like they’re from your financial institution. These phishing or smishing scams are designed to make you panic and click without thinking.

At UK Federal Credit Union, your security is our top priority. Take this short quiz to see if you can spot which messages are real and which are fake—and learn what to do if one ever lands in your inbox.

💬 Message #1

✅ Correct Answer: Text A is the fake message.

How to tell:

  • The link is not our official website (ukfcu.org).
  • We will never send links asking you to “verify” or “confirm” personal information.
  • The tone creates urgency and fear, which scammers use to pressure quick clicks.
