If you have lost your Credit Card please call 1-800-449-7728. Generally, it takes 7-10 business days for you to receive your replacement credit card. If you need it sooner, call us to review options.

If you have lost your Debit Card, call us at 859-264-4200 or 800-234-8528 as soon as possible. We can generally replace it with an instant-issue card at any branch location. If branch access is not convenient, it generally takes 7 to 10 business days for a replacement to arrive via mail.

When traveling with a UKFCU ATM card throughout Europe, some ATMs may not read your card. Some ATMs throughout Europe are set up as cash advance machines rather than regular ATM cash dispensing machines. There is no way at first glance to distinguish which machines will or will not accept your ATM card. However, when you swipe your ATM card, if the screen only asks for a dollar amount, most likely you are at a cash advance machine and your card will not work. If you swipe your card and the screen asks you to choose either savings or checking, then you are most likely at a regular ATM cash dispensing machine where your card will work.

We strongly encourage our members to travel abroad with a UKFCU Debit Card. This card will be accepted at the ATM, whether it is designed for cash advances or is a regular cash dispensing machine. UKFCU also offers a Travel Re-loadable VISA Card that can be loaded with funds in advance of your trip that works as a Debit Card. Credit Card Payment Cheat Sheet for Online and Mobile Banking

To pay your credit card using either mobile or online banking, you will need to complete the following steps:

  • Select "Card Controls" from the menu list.
  • Next, select "Credit Card Mgmt."
  • Complete the four fields of information required to make your payment and click "Submit."

 

How do i find my account number?

If you need your account number, this can be found by clicking on your savings account tile on the home screen and selecting the "details" tab. From there, your full account number will be displayed.

Yes! In fact, you should choose a PIN that is unique to you. You should not share this number with anyone else.

If you forgot your PIN, you must go to a branch location to reset it, please bring a photo ID (required for security purposes).

Enclosed with your new debit card will be a list of directions to help you activate your new debit card. To activate the card, simply call the phone number listed on the sticker.

Another way to activate the card is to use it to conduct a transaction or check your balance at an ATM. Simply use the PIN number provided in the documentation that came with the card. Be sure to change your PIN at an ATM or at a branch location. You should not share this number with anyone else.

If you forgot your PIN you must go to a branch, please bring a photo ID (required for security purposes).

Placing a travel notice on your account(s) will help us differentiate whether you are on the road or if your account has been compromised. You can place a travel notice on your account in online and mobile banking, by visiting us at one of our branches, or by calling us at 859.264.4200.

To place the travel alert through online or mobile banking, select "Card Controls,"  and then select either your debit or credit card. From there, select the "Travel Notification" button and complete the requested information.

There are several factors as to why you may experience issues with your Debit Card. It is important for you to keep your contact information up to date. If there are suspicious transactions and our Card Services cannot contact you, the card could be restricted. If you have used an incorrect PIN several times your card could get locked out.

We absolutely will accept coin deposits! In fact, we have coin counting machines at all our locations to accommodate our members. Members may use coin counting machines up to $300 per month at no charge.

Your available balance shows the amount of funds you have available to withdraw, excluding any transactions or holds that are pending in our system. This balance may not reflect all pending items and you should always keep a register of all transactions for your account in order to avoid service charges.

An insufficient funds fee is charged when there are not enough funds in the account to cover the item that you have purchased. An uncollected funds fee is charged when funds are in the account but are not available to pay the item, due to holds on the account. Holds could be present on the account due to pending purchases, holds placed on deposits, or other miscellaneous holds.

The best way to avoid NSF or UCF fees is to keep a register of activity in your checking account. You can track your transactions using online banking!

Member accounts at all credit unions are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Funds (NCUSIF), which is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The fund is backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. No taxpayer funds are used to support the (NCUA) or the (NCUSIF).

Additionally, UKFCU has purchased an additional $250,000 worth of insurance coverage for their members making a total of $500,000 coverage on eligible accounts.

NCUA insurance differs from traditional deposit insurance because it is funded by the credit unions themselves and is believed to be a much healthier and safer insurance fund. Visit NCUA.gov to learn more.

If the loan is paid off with guaranteed funds (cashier's check, cash, or new loan proceeds) the lien release will be mailed to the appropriate County Clerk's office to be released.

If the loan is paid off with guaranteed funds (cashier's check, cash, or new loan proceeds) the lien release will be mailed to the appropriate County Clerk's office to be released.

If the loan is paid off with a personal check, we will wait 10 business days before we release the lien.

Likely the largest debt you'll ever take on, a mortgage is a loan to finance the purchase of your home. Your home is collateral for the loan, which is also a legal contract you sign to promise that you'll pay the debt, with interest and other costs, typically over 15 to 30 years.

If you don't pay the debt, the lender has the right to take back the property and sell it to cover the debt. To repay the debt, you make monthly installments or payments that typically include the principal, interest, taxes and insurance, together known as PITI. Interested?

An escrow account is established to hold money collected by your lender to pay your hazard insurance and property taxes when they become due. This is sometimes called an "impound account." Lenders usually require escrow payments every month to ensure that they have enough to pay the insurance and taxes for you. This is a way for lenders to make sure their collateral is secure.

For instance, if your home were to burn down in a fire and you had failed to pay your hazard insurance premium; the lender would not be able to recoup the loss. In addition, if you fail to pay your property taxes, the government can foreclose on your property.
Insurance and taxes vary. You can find out the current taxes from the seller and seek quotes for hazard insurance coverage.

The Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA) of 1968 is a United States Federal Law designed to protect consumers in credit by requiring clear key terms of the arrangement and all costs. The sole purpose is to promote the informed use of credit by requiring disclosures about terms and costs to the consumer.

Click the "Submit" button and you are done. UKFCU recommends voiding the check after two weeks.

You can set up loans to be automatically paid.

  • Click the "Make a Payment" tab then
  • Click the "Loan Payments" tab.
  • Complete the required information.
  • Then click the "Make this recurring" box to the right.
  • Click "Submit."

To pay your credit card using either mobile or online banking, you will need to complete the following steps:

  • Select "Card Controls" from the menu list.
  • Next, select "Credit Card Mgmt."
  • Complete the four fields of information required to make your payment and click "Submit."

 

How do i find my account number?

If you need your account number, this can be found by clicking on your savings account tile on the home screen and selecting the "details" tab. From there, your full account number will be displayed.

You may also pay your credit card statements using the same prompts in mobile banking or on our website using the PAY NOW quick link.

Our online banking system allows you to make payments online using Bill Pay. Click the "Bill Payment" tab and click "Pay by Check (ACH)". From here, click "Add Payee" and complete the corresponding information.

To enroll in online banking, select "Login," located in the top right section of our website. From there, select "Register Here," (EXAMPLE IMAGE.) You will then fill out the required information.

You will then be sent a unique, one-time code. Once you have received and input the code, you will create your password. Make sure to register your device as you login so you don't have to complete the identity verification process each time you log into online banking.

Under the requirements of the Patriot Act, all banks must do an identity check on a new customer. They use "customer identification programs" (CIP) that compare your name, address, date of birth, and other facts to the information contained on your credit report. Your credit score would not be damaged by that step.

The CIP regulations require institutions to implement reasonable procedures for:

  • Verifying the identity of any person seeking to open an account, to the extent reasonable and practicable.
  • Maintaining records of the information used to verify the person's identity, including name, address, and other identifying information.

Banks also review ChexSystems and sometimes credit report data during the process of determining if a customer qualifies to open a new account. Under FCRA regulations, the bank has to have a permissible purpose such as "intending to use the information in connection with a credit transaction involving the consumer" in order to pull a credit report and must obtain the consumer's consent first. A hard inquiry like this could cause a small credit score ding.

A routing transit number comes in the form of a nine-digit number that usually precedes the account number found at the bottom portion of checks.

  • Under the Bill Pay menu item, select "Pay by ACH."
  • Please read and accept the terms of agreement.
  • Select the account you would like to enroll in Bill Pay.
  • Start adding payees and payments.

And that's it! Now you are ready to use our online Bill Pay.

Click "Add Payee" at the top of the "Payments" tab. The first time you set up a payee, the system will walk you through a one time, step by step process to gather key information about your payee.

Paying a bill or an individual through Bill Pay is simple and easy! Follow the steps below:

  • Log into Online Banking and navigate to the Bill Pay tab and select "Pay by Check."
  • From the "Payments" tab, input the amounts and payment date for each merchant you'd like to pay.
  • You can pay individual payees by clicking the "Pay" button next to the merchant.
  • You may also pay all payees by clicking the "Pay All" button found at both the top and bottom of your payee list.

When choosing a payment date, the date you choose should be the day the payment is received by the payee.

Yes! You can absolutely setup recurring payments in Bill Pay. These payments can be set up based on a frequency and amount that you determine, or based on the arrival of e-bills. To setup recurring payments, follow the steps below:

  • Locate the payee you'd like to set up payments for from the "Payments" screen.
  • Click the "Make it recurring" link for that payee.

From here, just follow the prompts to complete your payment schedule.

Some merchants may allow you to expedite checks for next day or second business day delivery, or next day electronic delivery. This is dependent on the biller and not controlled by the Credit Union. Please refer to the payment calendar for your biller to see the soonest payment options.

Payments scheduled before 3 PM EST will begin processing that day. From there, processing times are dependent on the payment method that was required for the specific payee.

Members may use Money Market or Checking accounts for Bill Pay. Savings accounts are not eligible for Bill Pay use. Please refer to the Truth in Savings disclosure for applicable fees associated with Money Market withdrawals.

External bank accounts cannot be used with our bill pay services.

The easiest way to pay your auto loan online is through online or mobile banking.

  • Select the "Make a Payment" tab and then select "Loan Payment."
  • Select which account you want the payment to come from. You may select a UKFCU account or link an external account from a different financial institution.
  • Complete the remaining prompts.

If you don't have online or mobile banking, you may also pay your auto loan online for free using our PAY NOW service.

When accessing our new online banking platform for the first time, members will need to enroll their personal account, even if you were previous user of online banking.

You’ll then be sent a unique, one time passcode to verify your identity. Once you input the code, you’ll be able to choose a password.

You will need your 10 digit member account number and social security number to enroll in the new online banking system. If you have a joint account, each member will have their own login ID and password and will need to use their individual SSN when enrolling.

If you have never enrolled for digital banking services with UKFCU and are a business account rather than a personal or DBA account, enroll here. You’ll then enter all required information including member number, TIN/EIN, business name, information about you, and your desired login ID.

Business accounts are not enabled immediately and require Credit Union review prior to approval. New business enrollments will be reviewed each business day and approved accordingly, but you may contact the Credit Union if you need access sooner.

If you have a business account and are an existing user of online banking, you can bypass the enrollment process when logging into our new online banking system for the first time.

Instead, you will login with your existing username and password. On the initial login, you will be required to update your password to meet new security requirements.

If you do not see your updated contact information as an option to receive this one time code, you’ll need to contact us to update this information.

Once you are enrolled in online banking, you can keep your contact information current by updating it under the "Settings" tab and then selecting "Manage Contact Info."

To use UKFCU mobile banking, you need to be enrolled in Online Banking. You use the same username and password for both online and mobile banking.
